A range of various injectable cosmetic products such as Botox and hyaluronic acid are available at CPRC. This broad variety of treatments can limit and attenuate the signs of aging by providing freshness and vitality to your face.

Nonsurgical rhinoplasty and medical lifting by injections

A nonsurgical rhinoplasty is essentially a dermal filler injection procedure that changes the shape and appearance of the nose for 6 to 12 months, depending on the chosen filler. The injections of hyaluronic acid will enable the correction of:

  • a slight irregularity of the back of the nose
  • a small bump
  • the dorsal hump, making the nose look smaller and straighter
  • the nasal bridge if very shallow
  • a septum deviation as well as to raise the tip of the nose as deemed appropriate.

A medical lifting by hyaluronic acid injection can also be performed to correct dangling cheeks which impact the oval shape of the face. This operation will raise the volume of the area above and around the cheekbones. This provides the illusion of amore defined bone structure and helps to restore facial fullness for a more youthful appearance.

Injection of hyaluronic acid (HA)

Hyaluronic acid is a sugar substance that occurs naturally in the body, including the skin, eyes, and joints. The primary function of hyaluronic acid is to provide moisture to these areas of the body. Around 50% of the body’s total hyaluronic acid is present in the skin and plays a crucial role in skin moisture. Any reduction in this amount, possibly due to UV exposure or aging, can lead to the formation of wrinkles.

Injection of hyaluronic acid fluid by means of very fine needles can significantly decrease the depth of wrinkles and enhance skin firmness and elasticity. However, the results are not permanent as the changes usually last for 6 to 9 months.

The process for rejuvenating the face using HA injection will focus primarily on:

  • nasolabial folds (from the edge of the nose to the mouth’s outer corner)
  • bitterness folds (lines starting from the corner of the mouth and descending towards the chin)
  • labiomental folds (intersection area of the lower lip and chin)
  • forehead lines
  • vertical frown lines between the eyes (lion’s wrinkle)
  • “crow’s feet” wrinkles around the corners of the eyes
  • wrinkles around the mouth (wrinkles of the solar pleat)

At the level of the lips, the injection of HA will allow us to:

  • reshape the border of the lips and the philtrum (midline ridge between nose and upper lip)
  • regain the volume of the lips, and thus restore facial harmony(when all the parts of the face are in correct proportion to each other)
  • smooth and attenuate the vertical lines and fissures at the upper lip

In addition, the HA injection can also be used to address volume depletion and loss in the following face areas: cheeks, cheekbones, acne after-effects, and scars.

Injection of botulinum toxin (trade name Botox)

Aging is due to intrinsic and extrinsic factors leading to a decrease in bone and tissue volume and some muscle overactivity, resulting in the appearance of wrinkles.

In this context, the botulinum toxin is an active substance which blocks the chemical signals that cause face muscles to contract excessively.

A cosmetic professional will use it to reduce wrinkles by injecting small doses of botulinum toxin directly into targeted muscles at the neuromuscular junction. Indeed, when the muscles can no longer tighten, the skin will flatten, giving a less wrinkled and smoother appearance. Results can be seen after a few days to a week. However, they are not permanent as the changes usually last for 4 to 6 months, so many people will have to have repeat injections.

Botulinum toxin treatment is proposed for the following types of wrinkles:

  • horizontal lines on the forehead
  • vertical frown lines between the eyes (lion’s wrinkle)
  • “crow’s feet” around the corners of the eyes
  • chin with orange peel aspect (bumpy, slightly pitted skin)
  • around the mouth and upper lip area (perioral wrinkles)
  • neck platysmal bands (the muscles running down both sides of the neck)
